HALLEUYAH! HALLELUYAH!! HALLELUYAH!!!
RELEASE DATE: October 3, 2021
WEEK 38: (October 3 – 9, 2021)
WEEKLY BIBLE READINGS:
Galatians 6:7 (NIV)
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
INTERPRETATION
The principles of choice and consequence are ever-present; regardless of the situation, this will never change. It’s quite easy for humans to find excuses for their neglects and inadequacies. We act as if we can explain issues and rationalize our actions and inactions to suit us. But unfortunately, with God, this is not obtainable. As believers, there are privileges we are given because we are children of God and members of Christ’s body. We have received free and full salvation and have been made alive by faith in Christ. But shall we be in sin and say grace may abound?
God always blesses us on the ground of grace. He will never change that principle; he blesses us despite our attitudes. God does not bless us because we made a deal with Him. He blesses us because he already made a deal in Christ. God does something for us regardless of whether we do something for Him. Neglecting God’s unadulterated grace is at one’s peril as everything He does for us, He does it out of grace not because we earned or deserve it. Should we then say because God blesses us not by some performances we do for Him and use that to act? God cannot be mocked.
Just like the principle of choice and consequences, God has set a principle for sowing and reaping in a manner that each of us reaps a harvest of what we sow in our lives. Whatever we have decided to sow in our lives, whether for good or evil, will bring forth the fruits of that choice. When we neglect our duty as God’s children and fail to carry out His will in our lives, we will produce the fruits of that neglect. But those that sow the seeds of righteousness will harvest righteous rewards.
This week’s scriptural reading is a reminder that the sowing-reaping principle exists and it is a divine principle that is true in the lives of both sinners and believers. It is therefore important we learn the lesson of sowing and reaping in our lives and do all to the glory of God. Sowing sparingly will reap a meager reward, sowing abundantly will produce plenty. Which would you rather choose?
PRAYER
Jehovah, Jesus Christ, Holy Michael, thank you for your word, we thank you for the principle of sowing and reaping. We pray you to teach us to do your will. Strengthen our spirit to embrace the attitude of sowing unto righteousness. Free our minds from all evil thoughts that could dissuade us from your presence. Help us to understand the beauty of sowing bountifully and help us develop a giving heart and generous spirit. This and many more we ask for through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Thank you and God bless. Shalom.
