THE KING OF GLORY – OUR DEFENDER

HALLELUYAH! HALLELUYAH!! HALLELUYAH!!!

RELEASE DATE: October 19, 2020

WEEK: 43 (October 19-25, 2020)

WEEKLY BIBLE READING: Psalm 24: 7-8

Lift up your heads, O ye gates, and be ye lifted up ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

INTERPRETATION:

As believers in Christ Jesus, it is self-evident that there is the physical, otherwise known as the flesh and there is the spiritual, known as the spirit. Even, unbelievers acknowledge the same, however, the way we (believers and unbelievers) engage both the physical and spiritual are different and with different outcomes too.

Here King David acknowledges Jehovah as the Lord that is strong and mighty, not just mighty but mighty to save. This is a reassurance that the Lord Jehovah (God of Jacob) is the King of glory, strong and mighty in battle. Therefore, it is only wise to turn to God, if you want to win the spiritual battles of your life, there are no other ways, when we are battling with principalities and powers in high places, they are not meant to be our battles but the Lord’s.

PRAYER:

Jehovah, Jesus Christ, Holy Michael to you O lord we raise our voices this day and put before you this week and beyond, to be our defender and fight our battles for us. We acknowledge you as our King of glory, the one that is strong and mighty in battle to come to our defense in the battles of our lives in every aspect of our lives and be the strong shield over our family, children and our friends in Jesus Christ name we have prayed.

Footnote: King David’s statement in this Psalm corroborates the declaration of Moses that “The Lord is a warrior and Jehovah is His name”.

“Isaiah 59:1 – Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear”
