INTERPRETATION

God has revealed himself to us at different times through diverse means – since the time of Noah, Abraham, Moses, John the Baptist and to the birth and death of Jesus Christ. One fact that has been consistent across these eras, that’s God’s love for mankind. This was evident during the time of the children of Israelites when they journeyed through the wilderness. God orchestrated divine provisions and guidance for them throughout their journey in the wilderness. This is not different in this present time.

The struggles and strivings in life have become an accepted ‘standard’. The scripture exposes the attitude of the majority, where the passion to accumulate wealth and the desire for more possessions, not only gives birth to greed and selfishness but causes us to worry about things we need, strive for things we desire, crave things we want and fight to acquire more. The urge to get more has overwhelmed us making us neglect the true source of provisions.

Our minds should not give in to life’s problems and perplexities but should be aligned to the likeness of the heavenly Man. Worrying is a sign of unbelief – a sin that undermines the potency of God’s power to exercise His divine provision abilities. It’s a fruitless exercise and too often has a detrimental effect on life and health, for anxious thoughts cannot achieve anything and are likely to induce restlessness, illnesses, and in some cases encourage apostasy.

One thing is key to accessing God’s assured provisions; the scripture made us understand that the focus should be on God and seek His kingdom. By seeking His kingdom, you’re rigorously running the race before you, doing good, maintaining holiness, practicing the fruits of the spirit and trusting Him in every area of life. If we can genuinely cling unto God and everything that embodies true Christianity, God will not only rain his blessings on us, we will also inherit and dwell with Him in His kingdom.

PRAYER

Jehovah, Jesus Christ, Holy Michael, thank you Lord for your Word, we pray this day you come into our hearts, clear our minds of all worries and help us to focus on you only. Strengthen our mind to be free from all anxieties and help us to trust you. Help us to have a mind of Christ through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. May Your Spirit help us to turn our hearts to Christ only, seeking Your kingdom and Your righteousness. This and many more we ask for in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Thank you and God bless. Shalom.
